Momonoki in Midtown ATL

Updated: Aug 22, 2018

Restaurant Type: Casual Japanese

Plant-Base / Healthy Eats Score: 5 out of 10. Limited plant-based options. They responded to my Instagram review that they have vegan ramen but that's yet to be explored. Outside of the bowl, miso soup, and edamame, they had a considerably less plant-based options than most Japanese places. Will visit again but, until then...

Randomly checked out Momonoki in Midtown. It's a new casual Japanese spot with beautiful design and decor and a unique menu. I didn't notice the veg ramen option but Momonoki responded to my Instagram post emphatically that they had one - must check out on the next visit. I had the tofu avocado salad with ginger dressing and lotus root. The salad was fantastic although the real star was the miso soup - it was so savory. We also had a side of the garlic and black pepper edamame which was excellent. They are still awaiting their liquor license so I definitely want to visit for a touted Japanese cocktail and to check out that veg ramen option. You can find their menu here: https://www.momonokiatl.com/.
